Sharing The Light: An Online Gathering of Love and Support
Is your heart heavy, fearful, angry, or empty today? Yeah, mine too.
As we face the change of power and the uncertainty of the next four years, I invite you to join me in an online space of love, light, and mutual support. Let’s come together to share our grief, fears, and hopes.
I’ll be online for a couple of hours today, holding space for anyone who needs to pause, reflect, or simply not feel alone. Drop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time.
We can step away from the cacophony of social media, close our browser tabs, mute our phones and choose a moment of peace and connectivity.
Bring a cup of tea or coffee and, if it feels right, create a sacred space for yourself—light a candle if it’s safe to do so, or sit somewhere that feels grounding and peaceful.
Together, we’ll share a few moments of connection, including:
A reading of poetry or other sacred literature,
A prayer for our times, and
A few candles lit to hold back the darkness.
Let us honor our shared humanity and the truth that we are deeply interconnected:
"We are tied together in the single garment of destiny, caught in an inescapable network of mutuality. And whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly."
— Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Come as you are, and let’s find a little light together.
